‘Batik Now’ is a brand new interpretation from Alleira Batik, in a collaboration with the young talented Malaysian designer, Michael Ong. Ong turned the luxury legacy of Batik on its head with his vision of millennial cool while marrying modern fabric to handcrafting skill. Along the collaboration with designers, including Michael Ong, Alleira’s abiding obsession with contemporary Batik legacy has deeply inspired them to get involved with younger generation. While it might seems that Batik has been a root in the past, its original design speak loudly and clearly to the present; a mix of traditional pattern with different texture and modern silhouette.
