Sometimes, the beauty of something lies beneath its simplicity. However technology plays a big shift in the coffee industry, Kedai Kopi Es Ta Kie consistently preserves its coffee tradition since the very beginning of the story. It is a little bit tricky to locate where the space is but it is really worth it when you step in. Located in the middle of old Glodok market, this ‘kedai’ has been serving coffee since 1927. We’ve made no secret of admiration for this old style coffee shop. It’s because, from the source we knew that the space only got small changes since the first year. As well as the space, the main menu of the café also never got any refashioning. A simple of fine kopi tubruk or a cup of iced milk coffee never makes you dissatisfy.
